Whilst I am a general dentist and I do enjoy practicing all aspects of my scope, I have a special interest in restorative dentistry as well as orthodontics. I am currently completing the RIPE Restorative Fellowship, which has deepened my understanding and skills in advanced restorative techniques. I am still within my first year of the fellowship but the topics which I have covered are:
The restorative fellowship has increased my confidence in restorative dentistry and has allowed me to tackle more complex cases. I am therefore seeking employment at a clinic where I am able to provide high quality treatment to my patients and also develop in my skills as a restorative dentist. Whilst I have mentors outside of work, I would ideally like to work in a clinic where I have a mentor who I can ask for on-sight mentorship when tackling more complex cases.
Last year, I completed the AHC Clear Aligners hands-on workshop, which provided valuable practical experience in clear aligner orthodontics. After completing the first year of my restorative fellowship, I wish to commence a more comprehensive orthodontics course to deepen my understanding of orthodontics and allow me to do more complex orthodontic treatment. My goal is to continue expanding my expertise in orthodontics through further training, while also applying the knowledge I have acquired in a dynamic dental practice. I am seeking opportunities where I can contribute to patient care while continuing to develop my skills in both restorative dentistry and orthodontics.
Since graduating I have worked with almost all of the major digital scanners including TRIOS, iTerro, MEDIT, Omniscan as well as Primescan. Digital Dentistry is an area of dentistry that I am fascinated by and I believe this will be a big focus for me in my career over the next period. I have recently learned digital smile design and have started implementing DSD at work to spek to patients about treatment.
